November business networking with a very visual focus

It was a really vibrant pre Lockdown 2 business networking meeting.  It was great to see Dominique from Tutor Doctor and Severina from Pink Spaghetti back to visit again.  Plus we welcomed first time visitor Sandra from Neil’s Yard Remedies.

This was our eighth online meet up.  It’s great to get the opportunity each month to check in with other members, exchange ideas and make introductions.

And finally, it was au revoir to our resident photographer  Ally Whitlock who is sadly leaving the group.  Ally showed some lovely slides of all the Laptops and Lipstick members she has photographed.  And we all agreed how easy she made a process that so many of us find uncomfortable!

The 10 minutes…

It was fascinating to hear from our newest member, Charley from Short Films.  Charley is a producer who runs Short Films with her husband John, an Editor.

She shared some of her personal story with us and showed clips from  a variety of high profile projects and fantastic films that the pair have made.  Charley’s creativity and enthusiasm were apparent and she’s a firm believer in the power of video when it comes to telling the story of a business.

Matchmaking…

Charlotte from Ada & Albert told us about their 10 mile challenge. This partnership with the Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust aims to raise funds to buy Christmas presents for the 72 children in the borough currently being treated for cancer.

Jo from Mortgage Confidence is offering a free consultation to people who may have concerns around meeting their mortgage payments given the new lockdown

Lindie from Zulu Graphix thanked Dominique for her business

Belinda thanked Emma from Semaphore for organising a marketing survey on attitudes to local shopping.
