Monthly mingle as Beckenham bakes!
It was a hot monthly mingle for Beckenham business women at our business networking as temperatures soared and Summer finally arrived!
COVID meant that we were missing a few members but it was still a lively meeting. And there were a notable number of people thanking others for recent referrals. Jo from Mortgage Confidence had received a whopping four new business leads from members since the last meeting!
Meanwhile, Belinda from SE20 Community magazine disgraced herself by being the first to mention Christmas! Although she was closely followed by Lindie from Zulu Graphix. Who even told us how many days we have left (108 at the time of writing!)
It’s always great to see new faces at our Beckenham business networking and this month we had two. Laura from Signature Care Homes and Veronika from the High Street Centre in Beckenham.
Julia from Truly Yours Holidays was the winner of this month’s Best One Minute award. She told a great story to illustrate how much effort she puts into making sure her clients get everything they want from their holiday. Unfortunately, the trophy has temporarily gone walkabout but that didn’t stop current holder Dominique from Tutor Doctor Bromley and Julia from posing for the customary pic!

Semaphore PR is celebrating 21 years of business this year so Emma reflected on her life as a business owner and shared a few of the things she’d learned along the way. Probably the ones that most resonated with members were knowing your own worth, visualising what you want being a business owner to look like for you and knowing when to outsource! Particularly when it comes to PR and marketing!!
Emma also gave us all a Semaphore mug for our daily cuppa! We do love a gift!
