Chocolates, Cushions, Curtains and all sorts of Creations…

There was a real buzz in the room this month for our business networking meeting.  Lots of samples and goodies too.  We had Christmas chocolates from Lindie at Zulu Graphix and Christmas Tropic goodies from Fiona from SMART Nutrition and Fitness.  All of which made the room look very festive. In addition to our members, we welcomed Jools Owen from Logical Heating and Plumbing Solutions and Iffy from Ma Oma.

Our next meeting will be on 7th December complete with Christmas jumpers and a  prize for the best dressed!

The 10 minutes…

It was a dynamic duo of presenters today in the shape of Josie from Furnishings Studio and Lucy from House of Audrey.

The soft furnishings experts gave us hints, ideas and suggestions on combating the cold weather by using our furnishings and window coverings.

Josie suggested closing curtains early to trap the sun inside, this can even be done by using timers on blinds!  She also told us how front doors can be covered in a beautiful bespoke curtain to keep the heat in.  And pointed us in the direction of Andrew Martin‘s lovely range of draught excluders.  Josie also suggested using insulation tape on windows and doors, blinds and shutters in conservatories and while watching telly late at night using a rug, throw or hot water bottle.

Next up was Lucy who showed us her lovely range of cushions and suggested over-stuffing with feathers makes them nice and plump.  And the great news is that House of Audrey is offering 15% off all cushions in November.

Matchmaking…

  • Jo from Mortgage Confidence thanked Emma from Semaphore for helping her to secure editorial coverage.
