7th October – networking (with wands)
Laptops and Lipstick, the business networking group for women is still on Zoom but we’re getting ever more creative. This month we were joined by Harry Potter and friends (read on to find out more). Plus, Interior Designer, Clare Hinde, gave us her 60 seconds in rhyme! Other (non rhyming but equally lovely) visitors were Dominique Capon from Tutor Doctor, Severina Todorova from Pink Spaghetti and Simone Mahoney from Arbonne.

The 10 minutes…
Our brilliant web developer, Alka Bagga from Critical Mission Computing, gave us a fascinating presentation this month. She opened with a fun Harry Potter take on the events of 2020.
Then we were on to website ethics and increasing conversions. She talked us through SEO, PPC, making good use of socials and how to browse incognito. Also the key characteristics of a good website – it was quite the talk!!
Matchmaking…
Jo Jingree from Mortgage Confidence would like to speak to people interested in remortgaging so they can extend or improve their homes
Kate from Utilities Warehouse thanked Dominique for an introduction that has resulted in a new customer
Julia from Truly Yours Holidays would like to speak to people who need something to look forward to! Holiday bookings are open for 2021 and even 2022. With lots of provisions in place to change or cancel if that proves necessary.
