A very respectable turnout for our August meeting, although in true British summertime style the heavens opened and we watched some very soggy golfers as we networked!
It was lovely to welcome back Cake Designer Shanna Jarvis and Interior Designer Kaya Vasanthan Ramesh as subs for two of our holidaying members. Also new visitors Claire McAulay from Taylor and Abel, haberdashers in Penge and Mae Suharevics from HISNET Solutions, IT Services and Support.
The 10 minutes…
We were honoured to hear from University of Ghana Lecturer, Maame Yaakwaah Blay Adjei in this month’s 10 minute presentation. And her popularity was not just because she brought wine! Maame was fascinating on the subject of sensory evaluation. We all learnt a great deal about how this type of testing can be used to quantify consumers’ reactions to products. But the wine was a good call too!
Quote of the month…
“To in it, you’ve got to win it… or something like that.” We all knew what Alka from Critical Mission Computing meant. And it tickled our Solicitor (and holder of the 1 minute award) Adjoa so much that she made Alka the next winner.
