5th December 2018

It was a very appropriately dressed meeting this month with a spectacular array of festive Christmas jumpers.

We warmly welcomed two recent members Alex Gwinnell from Therapiaand osteopath Denise Callaghan.  Also, appropriately at Christmas, three visitors  – although not bearing gifts!  Nevertheless, it was great to see Foot Health Practitioner – Rosie Birkett, Wealth Manager – Seonaidh McIntyre-Stephen and Virtual Assistant – Tina Walker.

Talking of gifts, we had very nice pens from Debbie at Jobfinders and Lindie from Zulu Graphix brought chocolate!!!!

Our final extended presentation of the year was brought to us by Coach, Jenni Hallam.  She gave us a brilliant 10 minutes on getting the best out of networking and got us thinking about our relationships with the other Laptops members.

It has been a great year for Laptops & Lipstick and its members.  We’re now very happily settled in our new home at Langley Park Golf Course and all enjoying the huge variety on the menu.  Ally from Stonelock Photography is no longer the only vegan lunch eater in the room!  We also extremely proud of our fundraising efforts for Chartwell Cancer Trust, having raise well over £3000 this year through a combination of quizzing, dragon boating, cake selling (and eating) and prosecco drinking (we didn’t say it was HARD work!)  So roll on further success in 2019.  Starting with a snazzy new website.

Quote of the Month?

“Superb in Summer but on a Winter’s evening?  Just a gaping black hole on one wall of your room,” Josie from Furnishings Studio on the need to dress patio doors so they don’t become an eyesore in the colder months.

A lovely evening was had by all at the Laptops Christmas drinks at La Rascasse.  This was a great opportunity for a mingle and it was we hope it becomes a permanent fixture in the calendar.  But maybe without the violet gin!
