We are a friendly and active group who support each other to thrive and grow, and welcome women from independent enterprises, small and well-established businesses to become part of our growing community of business women.

You can visit Laptops & Lipstick twice before we ask you to decide if you are going to apply for membership.

We invite visitors and members to arrive 15 minutes before the meeting begins, so you can grab a hot drink and chat to everyone in a relaxed atmosphere.

At 12.00, we sit down for the more formal part of the meeting, where everyone, including visitors, gets 60 seconds to introduce themselves and what they do, and to ask for the referrals they are looking for.

This is followed by a 10-minute extended presentation by one of our members giving more in-depth information about their business and invaluable tips in their area of expertise.

After our lovely buffet lunch, which always has vegan and gluten-free options, we have a business round where members thank each other for business passed, give new referrals, and arrange 1-2-1 meetings.

At the end of the meeting, there is time for more business networking, to exchange ideas, and to begin to forge those referral partnerships that can greatly benefit you and your business.

Our membership is limited to women in business, and one person per profession, specialism or trade. I.e., we have one accountant, one travel agent, one photographer, etc. This makes it easier to get to know each other’s business thoroughly and to pass quality referrals to each other. As a member, you will be able to:

We’re not the sort of women’s business networking group that counts and records business referrals and leads. Our focus is on forging long-term business relationships with others in the room so that the members of the group effectively become a second sales force working on behalf of your company.

And it works! Business relationships are formed, leads are passed, introductions are made, and business is done. In addition, knowledge is shared, support is given, skills are acquired, and motivation is all around!
